Welcome to Calculator Heaven. These terms are the agreement between you and Vellenue LLC, the company that runs calculatorheaven.com. Wherever these terms say "Calculator Heaven", "we" or "us", they mean Vellenue LLC. Using the site means you accept them, so please take a few minutes to read through. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The short version

  • The tools are free and you do not need an account.
  • We work hard to get the answers right, but we cannot promise they always are.
  • Health results are general estimates and never a replacement for a doctor.
  • Check anything important with a professional before you rely on it.
  • You use the site at your own risk, and our responsibility to you is limited as set out below.

Using our tools

You are welcome to use every converter, calculator and article on the site at home, at school or at work, free of charge. You may link to any page, and you may quote a short piece of our writing as long as you link back to it.

Please do not copy large parts of the site and pass them off as your own, try to break into the site or disrupt it, hammer it with automated requests that slow it down for everyone else, or use it to do anything unlawful.

If you are under 18, please use the site together with a parent, guardian or teacher.

How far to trust the answers

Unit conversions use internationally agreed definitions and are exact. Other tools rely on typical values or published formulas: a cup of flour does not weigh the same in every kitchen, and a formula built on averages will not fit every body. We test our tools against worked examples and fix mistakes when we hear about them, but errors can still slip through, and we do not guarantee that any answer is correct.

So for anything that matters, such as a medication dose, a structural measurement, an exam result or an order of building materials, double-check the answer with a qualified person or an official source before you act on it.

Health and fitness tools

Our BMI, body fat, calorie, pregnancy and fitness calculators give general information based on population averages. They do not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and cannot take your medical history into account. They are not medical advice, and using them does not make us your doctor, dietitian or trainer.

Talk to a doctor, midwife or registered dietitian before changing your diet, your exercise or your medication, and whenever you have a concern about your health, your weight or a pregnancy. Never ignore professional advice or put off seeking it because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number straight away.

Who owns what

The words, design and code on Calculator Heaven are ours and are protected by copyright. Units, conversion factors and mathematical formulas belong to everybody.

If you think something on the site copies your work without permission, email contact@calculatorheaven.com with the page address, a description of your work and how to reach you, and we will look into it quickly.

Other websites and ads

Some pages link to other websites or may show advertising. We do not run those sites and cannot vouch for what they say or sell. A link or an ad on our pages is not a recommendation.

No guarantees

WE PROVIDE THE SITE AND ALL OF ITS TOOLS "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CALCULATOR HEAVEN MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SITE WILL BE ACCURATE, ALWAYS AVAILABLE, FREE OF MISTAKES, FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF MERCHANTABLE QUALITY OR NON-INFRINGING.

Limits on our liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CALCULATOR HEAVEN AND THE PEOPLE WHO OWN AND RUN IT ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE, WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE, THAT RESULTS FROM USING THE SITE OR RELYING ON AN ANSWER OR ARTICLE IT GAVE YOU. YOU USE THE TOOLS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

THE SITE COSTS YOU NOTHING, SO THE MOST WE CAN OWE YOU IN TOTAL, FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS CONNECTED WITH IT, IS US $100.

Some countries and states do not allow these kinds of exclusions and limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits, and these terms do not take away any rights you cannot legally give up.

If your use of the site causes a claim

If someone brings a claim against Calculator Heaven or the people behind it because you broke these terms or misused the site, you agree to cover the resulting losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees.

Sorting out disagreements

The laws of the State of New York apply to these terms and to your use of the site, whatever conflict-of-law rules might otherwise say. If a disagreement ends up in court, it has to be a state or federal court in New York, and both of us agree to that.

As far as the law allows, any claim about the site has to be brought by you individually, not as part of a class action or any other group or representative case, and it has to be started within one year of whatever caused it.

The small print about the small print

If a court decides that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up. These terms and our privacy policy together are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.

Changes

We add new tools and improve old ones all the time, and now and then we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. If you keep using the site afterwards, the updated terms apply.
