Your answer
1 Gigabytes (GB) =1,000Megabytes (MB)
| Unit | Value |
|---|---|
| Bits | 8,000,000,000 |
| Bytes | 1,000,000,000 |
| Kilobytes (kB) | 1,000,000 |
| Megabytes (MB) | 1,000 |
| Gigabytes (GB) | 1 |
| Terabytes (TB) | 0.001 |
| Petabytes (PB) | 0.000001 |
| Kibibytes (KiB) | 976,563 |
| Mebibytes (MiB) | 953.674 |
| Gibibytes (GiB) | 0.931323 |
| Tebibytes (TiB) | 0.000909495 |
The math behind it: Data Storage
result = value x (size of the "from" unit / size of the "to" unit)
Drive makers use decimal units (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes). Operating systems often count in binary units (1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes), which is why a "1 TB" drive shows up as about 931 GB.
